**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Western is hiring for a Mill Administrator at our **Saltair Sawmill** in **Ladysmith, BC.**

**What You’ll Do**: The Mill Administrator is part of a team of other Administrators who handle everything and anything to keep the admin side of the mill running smoothly This role in particular has a focus on supporting Accounts Payable and Purchasing Support.

**Working Environment**:This position is based out of our Saltair Division Administration Office in Ladysmith, BC. As this role sits at the front desk and handles a high volume of paper coming in and out, the individual will be working from the office full time.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Daily matching of PO’s, invoices and receiving documents;
- Process and code matched vouchers in A/P and CMMS system;
- Maintain all accounts payable files;
- Vendor account reconciliations and follow up communication;
- Assist Purchasing/Stores/Maintenance personnel with tracking contract maintenance time, safety supplies, and office supplies;
- General administration;
- Visitor site safety orientations; and,
- As we do cross train our Administrators, this role could support with other tasks including Payroll, HR, and Safety.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- A degree, diploma or certification in Administration or Business Management preferred;
- Minimum 2-3 years’ administration experience; and,
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment an asset.

**Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies**
- Must be proficient with MS Office suite and database management, including a demonstrated ability to build spread sheets;
- Accountable and organized with the ability to re-prioritize on an as needed basis;
- Analytical thinking and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills targeted at all levels of the organization; and,
- Willingness to learn with an open and proactive attitude.
