**About Us**:The Sylvan Lake Figure Skating Club is located 10 minutes west of Red Deer

on beautiful Sylvan Lake. We are a not-for-profit Skate Canada sanctioned club with a parent executive dedicated to enhancing and promoting skating in our community. We offer a variety of programs from learn to skate, recreational skating, adult skating and figure skating.

Our club's goal is to enable everyone to participate in skating throughout his or her lifetime for fun, fitness and/or achievement. Thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers, who work alongside our professional skating coaches, our club has been successful for over 40 years.
- Be a Skate Canada Certified Regional Coach
- Provide a copy of your coach dashboard
- Be a Skate Canada Coach in Good Standing throughout the season

**Roles & Responsibilities**: **To coach StarSkate and CanSkate programs including travel to possible competitions or funskate events.**
- To work with current coaches to make programs fun and achievement oriented.
- Evaluate Star skaters and complete CanSkate report cards for each session.
- To help plan and organize the CanSkate, FunSkate event when we host.
- To help plan and organize the year-end carnival with other coaches and board members
- Be a good communicator and work professionally and cooperatively with skaters, parents, board members and other coaches.
- Have a willingness to upgrade your skills and keep current with changes within Skate Canada.
- Be organized, punctual, and reliable

**Time Commitment**:Sylvan Lake Figure Skating Club has ice Sunday through Thursday.
September till April

**Skating Programs**:Group Programs, private lessons

**Application Deadline**:Open until position is filled

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

**Salary**: $15.00-$39.92 per hour

Schedule:

- Weekend availability

- Sylvan Lake, AB T4S 1M8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
