**Job Description**:
**On-site**:This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.
**The Role**
**What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)**
- Maintenance Trainer is responsible for developing training plans for maintenance employees.
- Lead and assist in the design, implementation, and administration of maintenance training improvement programs.
- Act as liaison between engineering and trades for scaling up skill levels.
- Track Engineering (off hour) help calls with aim of reducing frequency thru training of trades.
- Develop training program and train maintenance dept’s to implement PCM and initiate improvements from collected data.
- Develops classroom and hands on training programs to teach maintenance personnel on the safe and effective maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Contacts and arranges training thru OEM’s and other resources for the maintenance team to acquire necessary skills, with consideration to developing expertise in plant to train inhouse.
- Prepare, review and update training materials including lessons plans, handouts, manuals, and visual aids.
- Supports and follows up on downtime events where skill set was an issue and countermeasure.
- Attends training courses to ensure content and class participation/benefit. Also, to learn with the intent of being a support resource.
- Primary focus on improving the skill set of Electrical/Controls maintenance personnel.
- Provide individual vocational support where required for employees on modified duties or other special needs.
- Work with internal resources to monitor and track training levels to determine areas of need and then develop plans with business teams to countermeasure accordingly.

- Engineering Degree / Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Engine/ Transmission manufacturing
- Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting experience
