**Job Overview**: The Estimator is responsible for assessing and calculating the costs associated with signage, promotional, and printing projects. You’ll collaborate with clients, designers, sales teams, production departments, and suppliers to ensure accurate estimations that meet quality standards, budgetary constraints, and deadlines. Attention to detail, industry knowledge, strong communication skills, and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Analysis**:Review project specifications, including signage type, product details, printing details, including size, materials, installation requirements, and deadlines to understand the scope of work.
- **Cost Estimation**:Calculate production costs, including materials, labour, equipment usage, installation, permits, and overhead expenses, using established formulas and software tools.
- **Quotation Preparation**:Prepare detailed and competitive quotations for clients based on estimated costs, ensuring profitability, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- **Collaboration**:Work closely with sales teams, designers, and production managers to gather project details, address technical requirements, and resolve any issues or challenges.
- **Vendor Coordination**:Obtain quotes from external suppliers for materials, services or specialized products, negotiate pricing, and manage relationships to ensure timely procurement.
- **Value Analysis**:Identify opportunities to optimize costs through material selection, production methods, or process improvements while maintaining quality standards.
- **Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of project estimates, quotes, contracts, correspondence, and cost-related documentation for auditing and reference purposes.
- **Customer Communication**: Communicate effectively with clients regarding pricing, project timelines, revisions, schedules, and any other project
- related information to ensure client satisfaction. Strive to respond to customer requests within a couple of hours and quote return in 24 hours.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of signage production process is an asset.
- Previous experience in estimating within the signage, print, or related industries is highly advantageous, demonstrating a strong understanding of project costing and pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in using estimating software, ERP systems, or similar tools, as well as familiarity with printing technologies and graphic design software.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to analyze project requirements, material costs, labour hours, and other variables to generate accurate cost estimates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, suppliers, and contractors.
- Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines eff.
- Resourceful and proactive in identifying solutions to challenges, resolving issues, and making informed decisions to ensure project success.
- Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset.

**Experience**:

- 2 or more years of experience in signage, printing or manufacturing environment.

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
