We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Desk Estimator to join our team at Paul Davis Ottawa. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and profitable estimates for reconstruction and emergency services.
Key Responsibilities:- Review scope of work, job reports, and pictures to create accurate and profitable estimates.
- Use estimating software, such as Xactimate and Symbility, to ensure compliance with insurance carrier rules.
- Request Matterport and Beacons where required, and review datasets to determine necessary additions.
- Arrange subcontractor estimates and specialty quotes when needed, and take ownership of estimate revisions and supplements.
- Communicate and document change orders and insurance supplements, and build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, and TPA's.
- Results-driven and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to learn new operating systems, such as RMS, Xactimate, and Symbility.
- Knowledge of estimating software and experience with Xactimate and Symbility is an asset.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000.
