We're seeking a fulltime **Accounting Technician** to join our growing Financial Services team in Yellowknife. Working with multiple clients across a wide range of industries, our accounting technicians are responsible for full cycle accounting and supporting clients with all their financial matters so they can focus on growing their business.
Our ideal teammates are self-motivated, well organized, detailed oriented, and have exceptional time management and interpersonal skills. Applicants must be able to operate in a team environment but also have the ability to work independently.
**The Role**
- Data entry
- Accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Payroll processing and administration
- Bank, credit card and account reconciliations
- Preparation of tax forms & remittances
**What you will bring**
- College diploma or Certificate in Accounting preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years bookkeeping experience
- Proficient with QuickBooks & Sage 50
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Xero and payroll software would also be an asset
