Location: Neilson/Ellesmere, Scarborough
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Social Worker to join our family support team in a clean and welcoming home setting. The position involves providing dedicated care for two lively boys, aged 5 and 4 years.
**Responsibilities**:
Psychosocial Support:
- Engage in play, puzzles, building blocks, and reading bible stories
- Facilitate figurines and vehicle dialogue
- Encourage arts and crafts activities
- Foster creativity through art, drawing, tracing, and coloring
- Incorporate music, singing, and dancing into daily routines
- Maintain a tidy environment by cleaning up toys and activities after use
Nutritional Support:
- Prepare and feed children meals and snacks
- Wash up dirty dishes and ensure proper storage
- Wipe up crumbs, vacuum, and promptly address spills
- Uphold a clean and organized mealtime environment
Rest Support:
- Put children down for sleep
- Make bedding to ensure a comfortable rest environment
Hygiene Support:
- Assist with toilet training
- Maintain proper sanitation practices
- Promote frequent hand hygiene and provide oral care after meals
- Coordinate bath time with water play
- Change clean clothes and handle laundry responsibilities
Additional Requirements:
- No screen time or electronic devices for the children
- Caregiver must wear clean scrubs while on duty and remain scent-free
Qualifications:
- Registered Post secondary education in the Humanities like, CYW, ECE, RSW, BT, DSW ETC.
