Respite Worker

Respite workers will provide direct services to children, youth and/or young adults with intellectual and complex care needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow and implement the clients' respite plan during the session;
- Engage in general client care including feeding, dressing, toileting and bathing;
- Assist clients to participate and engage in a variety of activities;
- Assist clients to participate and engage in their local community;
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times;
- Update clients’ communication book after each session;
- Other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Educational background in ECE, ECA, CYW, PSW, or related fields;
- Experience working with clients that have an intellectual disability;
- Knowledge about ABA and behavioural strategies is an asset;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends;
- Must be able to drop off and pick up materials for clients;
- Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
**Family seeking respite for 2-3 hour shifts, 2-3x a week**

- Weekends as needed
