ABOUT THE TEAM

- Working knowledge of the various ESG rating agencies including but not limited to ISS, CDP, MCSI, Sustainalytics
- Must be able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment in both in-person and virtual settings
- Working knowledge of sustainability and ESG concepts
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)
- Possess strong research and analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Superior project management experience.
- Well-developed analytical and research skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams; Adobe Pro
- Quick learner in pulling data and reports from different management information systems
- Experience in the field of sustainability, ESG reporting aspects / (alternative) exposure to ESG reporting and sustainability is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support RB Global’s response to ESG questionnaires for RB Global’s ESG disclosures (CDP, MCSI, ISS, S&P, Sustainalytics), which may include support with project management, data gathering and content development.
- Contribute to internal reporting and strategy projects, including conducting research/benchmarking, drafting sustainability communications, collecting and analyzing data, organizing employee engagement initiatives, and implementing initiatives.
- Help evolve RB Global’s ESG strategy, approach, and sustainability disclosures within recognized reporting frameworks.
- Support tracking of RB Global’s performance against its ESG goals and targets
- Conduct best practice research to analyze the global ESG landscape to help RB Global continue to evolve its ESG strategy based on emerging topics.
- Help ensure RB Global is disclosing ESG activities in a manner consistent with industry leadership, and that the company’s ESG performance is accurately reflected in third-party ESG-related scorecards, indices and reports.
- Research best in class ESG reporting with a view to ensuring value based ESG reporting that is stakeholder recognized.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of technological developments, standards, methods, international best practices, and industry trends and benchmarks and make recommendations for continuous improvement related to ESG management.
- Support the development of a centralized ESG data management platform by leading the collection and entry of a wide variety of ESG metrics sourced from multiple documents.
- Support as needed on other initiatives and projects, such as ESG communications, ESG reporting, questionnaires. Focus areas may include carbon accounting, circular economy, supply chain sustainability, human rights and community engagement.
- Support alignment to global sustainability and ESG frameworks including GRI, SASB, TCFD, and UN SDG’s.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interest into building a career into corporate sustainability with global exposure or possibly additional work/personal experience in the field of Sustainability (including volunteering, internship in NGOs, UN organizations).
- Demonstrates professionalism and a proactive work ethic
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and champion new ideas and approaches
- Experience in the field of sustainability, ESG reporting aspects / (alternative) exposure to ESG reporting and sustainability is a plus.
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in environmental science or studies, building science, business with sustainability, or related field.
