**About us**: RESOUND Choir is a mixed choir in Durham Region, with dual mandates of excellent choral singing and meaningful community outreach. In a short four years, we have commissioned several unique pieces of music by Canadian composers, and gained a reputation as an innovative, diverse and emerging choral ensemble that delivers exciting performances, grounded in social conscience and masterful story-telling.

The **Operations Manager** role involves ensuring RESOUND operations, performances and communications are handled professionally in a timely, efficient, and organized manner, in alignment with the values and objectives of the choir.

**Hours**:Part-time (approximately 10h per week (with seasonal fluctuations). Time will be divided between on-site hours and flexible remote work time. Requirement to attend all weekly rehearsals. This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of renewal, pending a successful term-end performance view.

**Pay**:$18.00 -22.00/Hour depending on skills and experience.

**Primary Responsibilities**

**Concert Coordination**

Executes, directs, and oversees the logistics of concerts and other choir events.
- Research and book performance venues according to Artistic Director’s [A.D.] creative vision/theme for the concert.
- Manage relationships with venue and community partners.
- Manage the recruitment and management of volunteers.
- Under A.D.s creative direction, develop and print the concert programme.
- Oversee all concert logistics including advance ticketing [EventBrite], riser set-up, materials delivery, front of house material/resourcing and payment methods, on-site branding and promotion, back-stage snacks, set-up/tear down, clean-up on event day.
- Design promotional material aligned to concert theme; tickets, posters, social posts.

**Communication**

Manages ongoing communication updates with choristers, community partners, A.D. and Board members.
- Monthly activity report to Board.
- Weekly communication updates to choristers.
- Communication with community partners and organizations as required.
- Prime contact for website inquiries, manages website content refreshes as directed.
- Updates website with next concert info and ticket information, as directed by President, A. D.

**Rehearsal Management**
- Book rehearsal venue and manages administration and set-up of rehearsals.
- Co-ordinate and deliver announcements at rehearsals.
- Open venue and co-ordinate volunteers to arrange seating according to direction from A.D., as well as overseeing tear-down and cleanup as required.
- Co-ordinate any specific requests from A.D. as required.
- Co-ordinate and schedule auditions.
- Develop season schedule and distributes to choristers.

**Other**
- Book and organize event retreats.
- Recruit volunteers and co-ordinate/oversee their activities
- Be available to attend weekly rehearsals as necessary.

**Job Skills**
- Organized, detailed approach to project planning and implementation.
- Graphic design an asset [Canva]
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel.
- Superior communication and relationship building.
