**Join a Dynamic Real Estate Law Team**
- **Salary range**: $50-55k; Bonus eligible
- **Location**: Keswick (4 days per week)
- **Hybrid**: 4 days/week in office; 1 day per week remote
- **Hours**: 9-5 Monday to Friday
Are you a highly organized and experienced Real Estate Law Clerk seeking a new challenge? Our client needs your expertise to support various aspects of real estate transactions, from preparing documents to providing top-notch client service.
**Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities**:
**1. Real Estate Transaction Trailblazer**:Working on commercial and residential purchase, sale and financing transactions, including drafting documentation and corresponding directly with clients and other lawyer’s offices, providing support and guidance to clients throughout the process.
**2. Mortgage & Discharge Magician**:Coordinating and managing mortgages and discharges with financial institutions and other lenders.
**3. Legal Document Artisan**:Preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney based on instructions provided by clients.
**4. Legal Correspondence Composer**:Drafting letters of introduction and other legal correspondence.
**5. Closing Documentation Dynamo**:Drafting closing documentation for commercial and residential purchase, sale and mortgage transactions.
**6. Client Reporting & Financial Guardian**:Preparing reporting letters and accounts to clients. Performing accounting tasks related to real estate transactions and the practice.
**8. Professional Communicator & Collaborator**:Communicating in a professional manner with lawyers, other team members and clients;
**9. Attentive Administrative Wizard**:Attending to administrative duties such as following up on outstanding invoices and filing documents.
**10. Dynamic Role Alchemist**:Those general duties which are customary for a law clerk working at a smaller firm. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned to you from time to time.
**What You Bring to the Table**:
**Real **Estate **Familiarity**: Ideally, you'll have at least 2 years of experience in the real estate world, having worked at a law firm or real estate brokerage.
**Educational **Credentials**: We'd love to see a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate from a recognized institution on your resume, or perhaps you've gained equivalent knowledge through years of on-the-job experience.
**Solid **Legal **Know-How**: A strong understanding of legal requirements related to real estate transactions is key, so you can tackle commercial and residential deals confidently.
**Independent **Go-Getter**: Being able to handle purchase and sale transactions from start to finish, with mínimal supervision, is essential in our fast-paced environment.
**Communication **Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills will help you keep clients informed and work smoothly with our team.
**Initiative **and **Adaptability**: We value team players who can follow instructions and take charge as needed, while adjusting to various tasks and scenarios.
**Technical **Proficiency**: Familiarity with Teraview, Unity, and Microsoft Office Suite is important; if you've worked with Cosmolex before, that's a plus
**Detail-Oriented **Multitasker**: Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively will set you up for success in this role.
