**Plumbing Sales Associate**
**Full-time**

The Plumbing Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to our customers. Seek new opportunities and new customers to increase the Selkirk Home Hardware Building Centre footprint in the retail industry.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Represent and promote the plumbing department by providing friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service
- Offer technical expertise on products and “how-to” info to customers
- Maintain knowledge base on current products and learn about new products that are available
- Develop and maintain positive customer, contractor, and vendor relationships
- Sourcing products for customers that are not currently in stock and processing special orders
- Respond to inquiries and process incoming calls
- Ensure customers are satisfied with their orders, products, pricing, delivery, and overall shopping experience
- Deal with any customer issues or complaints in a courteous timely manner
- Replenishing department shelves and general housekeeping of the department
- Work closely with other department staff to create an efficient productive team
- Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management

**Job Requirements**
- 3 years plumbing or plumbing sales experience
- Excellent customer service
- Honest work ethic and passion for excellence
- Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Time management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong networking skills and outgoing personality
- Self-motivated, able to function both independently and as a team member
- Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
