**General Duties**:
- Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision-making.
- Identify metrics, analyze data, create models and update existing analyses.
- Design and produce BI dashboards to allow self service analysis and decision making.
- Design and produce periodical, weekly and quarterly financial reports.
- Design and implement long term forecasts.
- Provide assistance to manage all ad hoc projects and assist management on all accounting activities.
- Collaborate with appropriate staff to gather input and feedback concerning system needs.
- Resolve issues and problems related to system platforms.
- Maintain or assist with maintenance of accounting information systems ensuring conformity with accounting principles and auditing standards.
- Full cycle accounting for new subsidiaries
- Coordinate with 3rd party professionals as necessary
**Required Skills/Abilities**
- Expertise in Excel, including the ability to write complex formulas, handle large data sets and provide concise presentations and summaries for executives.
- Excellent story telling skills, allowing for the creation of easy to consume real time dashboards that are both deeply informative, and highly intuitive.
- Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods
- Ability to adapt to versatile deliverables/analyses and demonstrate logic/reasoning
- Proven understanding of financial statements, financial analysis, variance analysis and forecasting
- Thorough understanding of GAAP
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
**Education and Experience**
- Minimum 3 years experience in a role where they had financial reporting as a direct responsibility
- Attained a Business/Finance degree (BBA, Comm etc.) with preference given to those with further professional designation (CPA, CFA)
- Proven experience working as a financial analyst
- Proven expertise in principles, design and procedural methods used in big data analysis
- Experience with Business Central and PowerBI an asset
