LSB assists in fulfilling the Attorney General’s role as set out under the Attorney General Act. A shared service, LSB clients are government ministries, the Attorney General, Cabinet, Crown corporations and public agencies. Each law group within the Branch has unique accountabilities and works as a team to support Government with approximately 625 lawyers and support staff.

This position is located within the Finance Group of LSB’s Business Operations Division. Business Operations Division supports the work of the branch by providing corporate services and infrastructure support. The Finance Group provides accounts payable and receivable services to the branch.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst oversees LSB’s cost recovery program and is responsible for recovering legal costs from Ministries, Crown Corporations and other organizations. The position is also responsible for ensuring that financial information in the branch systems maintains a high level of integrity and meets branch, ministry and government policies for accuracy and consistency.

**Job Requirements**:

- Diploma in the field of financial management, such as Level 1 or 2 of the Financial Management Certificate Program, or CA/CMA/CGA, or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in financial administration.
- 1 year of experience conducting financial analysis utilizing large volumes of data.
- 1 year of experience analyzing and developing financial and accounting statements.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Experience in financial administration in a public sector environment.
- Experience establishing collaborative relationships with clients and internal partners.
- Advanced level experience using Microsoft Excel.
