Bit Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reconditioning steel - short-hole, Bolting, jumbo which consists of the following procedures: visual inspection, clean, cut, straightening, grinding, tapering and painting
- Blade and button bit sharpening
- Repair and service all shop equipment (in house)
- Safeguard assets of the company
- Establish a working relationship with fellow employees
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment both on customer site
- Monitor & track shop consumables (grinding pins, cut-off wheels, profile tools, etc )
- Surface Direct Delivery of Epiroc Product to customer.

EXPERIENCE:

- Prior Shop experience would be an asset
- Mechanical training would be an asset

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma
- DZ license required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills, competence in excel & word documents or the will to learn these programs.
- Self-motivated to learn

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
- 14 days and 14 days out, Camp position, accommodations provided
- Central region

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
