VMAC is looking to expand their senior leadership team with a **People & Culture HR Manager, **a strategic leadership position under the CEO’s guidance. This role is crucial to shaping the culture, and overall experience at VMAC. The People and Culture manager will strategically lead and develop HR strategies including recruitment, performance management, policies and procedures, and BC employment legislation. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on a rapidly growing company, fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in all areas. As a key leader, you will inspire a positive work environment, demonstrating superior interpersonal skills, and a commitment to our mission's strategic direction.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic HR Leadership**: Collaborate with senior management to craft HR strategies that align with our mission. Lead initiatives in staff training, engagement, retention, and development.
- **Recruitment and Onboarding**: Implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse talent. Oversee a welcoming onboarding process that integrates new members into our culture seamlessly.
- **Training and Development**: Develop and administer comprehensive training programs. Ensure staff and leaders alike have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and contribute to our mission.
- **Culture and Engagement**: Champion a positive organizational culture that encourages teamwork, recognition, and personal growth. Drive efforts to maintain high levels of staff engagement.
- **Performance Management**: Lead the performance review process, providing clear expectations, feedback, and support for professional development.
- **Policy Development and Compliance**: Ensure HR policies are up-to-date with BC legislation, and reflective of our values.
- **Advisory Role**: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and management team on all human resources matters.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Strong leadership skills to coach and mentor leaders
- Proactive and results oriented approach to day to day HR operations
- Extensive working knowledge with strategic recruitment, training and development and labour relations
- Confident decision maker with a proven track record of leading multiple teams
- A background in health & safety and payroll would be considered an asset
- 5+ years' experience in strategic HR management in a manufacturing environment or a large organization
- Degree or diploma in related field
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation
- Experience with Canadian Labour Relations
- Ability to navigate WorkSafeBC claims reporting systems
