Morrison Williams LLP, a small boutique family law firm located in Oakville, Ontario, is looking for a full-time law clerk with a minimum of three years of experience in family law.

Morrison Williams currently has a team of four lawyers, an Articling Student, and virtual reception. The Firm practices solely in the area of family law, handling a mixture of litigation, negotiation, mediation and arbitration files.
- Communicating with clients regarding their matter;
- Drafting correspondence to counsel, other professionals and third parties;
- Preparing initial drafts of court documents including Pleadings, Financial Statements, Conference Briefs, and Affidavits;
- Preparing and compiling Financial Disclosure Briefs, Mediation Briefs, Conference Briefs, Trial Records, etc.;
- Scheduling court dates, client meetings and other events;
- Maintaining digital client files;
- Managing the lawyer’s calendar and diarizing deadlines;
- Greeting clients, answering calls from existing clients, attending to courier deliveries, and communicating with potential clients; and
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- Legal Administrative Assistant, Paralegal or Law Clerk Diploma; and
- A minimum of three years of experience as a family law clerk.
- Time management and organization skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills;
- Experience with Microsoft Office (required);
- Ability to work independently;
- Knowledge of the _Family Law Rules_ and Family Court Forms (required); and
- Proficiency in DivorceMate, Cosmolex, Adobe and Box (preferred).

Compensation will vary depending on education, experience, and qualifications. The compensation will include three components of a base salary, monthly performance income and an annual bonus with the total compensation to range between $50,000.00 to $70,000.00.
