**Position Summary**

Under the supervision of the Counselling Services Team Team Manager, the Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the team in the delivery of Youth Programs.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist with planning of Youth Program activities, drop-ins and workshops, including the development of communication materials;
- Assist in promoting a positive, creative and exciting learning environment for youth programs;
- Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Children & Youth programs;
- Assist in setting up and maintaining a safe and secure environment for Youth in programs;
- Provide program and administrative assistance to the CST team;
- Attend team meetings and educational activities as required.

**Knowledge, Experience and Skills**
- **Must be between the ages of 15 to 30 and legally entitled to work in Canada;**:

- Child & Youth Worker and/or equivalent related experience;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills;
- Knowledge of Youth activities (playgroups, resource services, lending library, drop-ins and community outreach);
- Experience working with children and youth in a group environment;
- Experience with and sensitivity to diverse community groups;
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, spoken and written; French and/or other languages are an asset;
- Available to work flexible hours.
