We are looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic Manager to join our team at Secret Heart Academy Daycare. We are looking for a Manager who will demonstrate and promote an understanding for the mission, vision, and values that drive our center.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**
We are looking for an individual who will be a learning facilitator, an effective manager and a mentor to our staff.
The ideal applicant will be highly knowledgeable in early childhood learning theories, have the ability to enhance and strengthen the facilitation of our program, and ensure that licensing regulations are met at all times.
Strong organizational skills including planning, task facilitation and managing conflicting priorities are essential for this role.
**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Implements Childcare Licensing Regulations while establishing a culture of staff professional development related to children’s care and learning
- Promotes a comprehensive range of learning and development opportunities for children to grow socially, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually
- Develops and maintains effective decision making processes that build consensus, commitment, and collaboration amongst staff
- Provides guidance and information to all relevant parties, both internally and externally
- Fosters and maintains positive and professional relationships and communication with parents, children, staff and management
**Responsibilities of the Daycare Manager include**:
Ensuring that the daycare environment and program meet the standards of licensing regulations and are in compliance
Planning, organizing and directing the day-to-day operations of the daycare
Creating schedules for the program to ensure that adequate staffing ratios are always maintained
Performing administrative duties in a timely manner, including: scheduling, reporting, newsletters, maintaining care plans and records, etc.
Providing ongoing training and mentorship to staff and overseeing professional growth plans
Working with coordinators and educators to ensure that best practices are followed when planning to meet children’s early learning needs
Planning and delivering learning activities and ensuring that children’s developmental needs are met within the program
Managing the registration and enrolment of children
Assisting with grant writing, as required
Ensuring an operationally appropriate list of ECE substitutes
Providing onboarding and training to new staff and students
Maintaining the safety and wellbeing of children and staff
Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
**The following qualifications are required**:
Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate License
Knowledge and understanding of current BC Licensing Regulations & BC’s Early Learning Framework
Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate
Criminal Record Check
Experience supervising, coaching or consulting with ECEs
Minimum 2 years of experience in various childcare settings
Three references
**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour
