**Position Description**

The person will:

- Process purchase requisitions by reviewing stock levels and inventory usages
- Prepare, verify and submit purchase orders to supplier and follow up to ensure on time delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery dates in the system and update applicable departments as necessary
- Review invoices for purchases and work with the supplier to resolve any errors
- Maintain accurate purchasing records for audit purposes
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers
- Continually key in item pricing to system to ensure most up to date and accurate pricing
- Monitor supplier performance ensuring appropriate levels of approval have been obtained
- Assist other departments in sourcing new raw materials and required documentation
- Maintaining company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, physically checking inventory and maximizing available working capital
- Ensure that goods inward / stock is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business
- Providing info to the management on inventory’s performance by monitoring and evaluating consumables usage & costs
- Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies are timely addressed and resolved
- Also ensuring blanket order processes are received back and that suppliers are chased to ensure no late delivery situation

**Qualifications**:

- Buying / replenishment experience in food related industry or to support a factory preferred
- Experience in inventory control and warehouse management
- Experience with Sage ERP or other ERP systems preferred
- Familiarity with food chemistry would be an asset
- Must be proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
- Must have ability to properly prioritize workloads in a fast pace environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
