**Sales Representative**
Company: Welcome to B& T MacFarlane, a premier dealership of the Kubota brand, family owned and operated since 1957. We are passionate about the customers we serve and support, from contractors to small business owners, estate owners, and hobby farmers in Ottawa and the surrounding market area. **Purpose of Role**:
Your role involves reporting to the Senior Sales Manager and providing customers with honest product recommendations without upselling. Your primary responsibility is ensuring exceptional service delivery, from the initial customer greeting to the final delivery. Your focus will be on selling equipment and maintaining B&T's standing in the community as a reputable dealer.
**Responsibilities**:
▪Sale of equipment to customers, creating work orders for equipment builds, following the process from sale transaction to delivery.
▪Prepare sales quotes for equipment and accessories as requested through Keyloop (formerly Rapid Response)
▪Keep up to date on knowledge of equipment and sales trends.
▪Establish relationships with new and existing customers; build on the customer base of B&T MacFarlane.
▪Continually learn technical and product knowledge, maintain awareness of new developments, and study and follow OEM recommendations.
▪Continue to uphold B&T MacFarlane’s standing in the community as a reputable dealer with outstanding customer service. Exceptional service will include going above and beyond to serve a client, which could mean showing up for delivery to provide a show and tell, assisting with after-sales questions and technical support, or other customer service needs.
**Qualifications**:
▪Two or more years of retail sales experience with a track record of success, preferably in one of the following industries: agricultural equipment, motor vehicle industry, outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, construction equipment and machinery, small engine and accessories (an asset)
▪University degree in business, economics, science or similar
▪Valid driver’s license (an asset)
▪Knowledge of Kubota equipment (an asset)
▪Bilingualism (an asset)
**Essential Physical Requirements**:
▪ The ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
▪ The ability to drive small and medium-sized equipment
▪ The ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
▪ The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
▪ The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
▪ The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
**Compensation**:
The compensation package for this position will be determined based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience. The package includes a base salary, plus commissions on sales, offered quarterly. In addition, after a three-month probationary period, employees will have access to a comprehensive benefits plan that includes life insurance and disability.
The work hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 7:30-5:00 pm, at 45 Slack Road, Ottawa, Ontario, Location. Onsite parking is available.
