Internal Corporate Documentation Writer

Bond Consulting Group (BCG) is a unique professional services firm. We are a leading SR&ED consulting firm, located in Toronto. SR&ED stands for "Scientific Research & Experimental Development" - it is the name of the largest and most important corporate tax incentive program in Canada, available to all businesses in fields of science, technology, or medicine. The program is like a grant but is administered by CRA (The Canada Revenue Agency). Bond Consulting Group is an innovative firm, with an excellent reputation in the industry, boasting a fantastic corporate culture.
We are seeking a talented Internal Corporate Documentation Writer / Specialist who is detail-oriented with strong analytical and writing skills.
Job Specifications/Key Responsibilities:
The position of Internal Corporate Writer includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Interview and collaborate with all Managers of Departments in order to extract key activities, roles, responsibilities and procedures across the organization.
- Create detailed manuals and documentation outlining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for different departments and processes.
- Develop clear and concise job descriptions for various positions within the company, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals and values.
- Communicate and report directly to Senior Management in order to re-draft and elevate the quality of existing written job descriptions, manuals and documentation.
- Update existing documentation as needed to reflect changes in processes, procedures, or job roles.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to company branding and style guidelines in all written materials.
- Review and identify any errors and/or inconsistencies in corporate documentation such as spelling, grammar, formatting, etc.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in technical writing, documentation management, or a similar role.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
4. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, or specialized documentation management systems.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Familiarity with HR practices and terminology is a plus.
8. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
