- Carries out tasks as assigned and seeks/receives technical guidance as required.
- Collects data, measurements and observations.
- Completes data entry and assists with data interpretation.
- Writes portions of reports. Completed work is accurate and precise.
- Tracks documents with continued oversight of on-going tasks
- Provides administrative support; prepares letters, notices, plans, etc.
- Coordinates meetings, and appointments; prepares agendas, takes minutes
- Communication skills; fields telephone inquiries, drafts factsheets, and organizes/implements workshops
- Carries out varied tasks requiring general knowledge of the broad field of environmental sciences.
- Provides regular project updates and refers any complex or unusual matters to the project coordinator or manager.
- Generally works under the supervision of senior staff.
- Responsible for personal health and safety.
- As required, contributes towards project completion in a technical capacity.
- Travel may be required.
- Shiftwork and overtime may be required.
- Field work may be required in all seasons.
- Maintains a current standard of knowledge through self-directed and guided literary reviews and training.
- Typically Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree (Minimum requirement is a college diploma and related experience)
- Outstanding organisational and communications abilities
- Superior technical skills and attention to detail
- Desire to succeed in a dynamic, progressive organization
