**EARLYON CENTRE SUPERVISOR**

BridgeWay is the largest provider of EarlyON Child and Family Centres in the Region of Peel. We provide free prenatal services, early learning programs and supports to pregnant women, and families/caregivers with children birth - 6 years of age.

Join BridgeWay as an EarlyON Centre Supervisor and make a difference in the lives of pregnant women; children birth to 6 years of age; and their families.

With a passion to build relationships and support families in their parenting journey, you will have the opportunity to work not only with young children, but engage daily with their parents/caregivers as they visit the EarlyON centre together.

You will also lead a team of dynamic Early Childhood Educators and Family Support staff who are awaiting your mentorship, support and guidance.

**What you will do**:

- Make the Turtle Creek EarlyON Centre a welcoming and supportive environment for staff and families
- Recognize that each family is unique and demonstrate respect for different parenting or caregiving styles
- Build relationships with families so they develop trust and will seek support as needed, when they are ready
- Recognize how hard parenting is and listen to each family’s ‘story’ with sensitivity and confidentiality
- Provide and facilitate engaging, child led early learning programs* that follow the ELECT and How Does Learning Happen?
- Provide and facilitate programs* that meet the needs of the adults who attend (e.g. new mothers program, LGBTQ parent group)
- Seek out new community partnerships to make Turtle Creek ‘the place’ for families to access multiple programs and supports
- Complete administrative tasks such as monthly reports, statistic gathering, completing payroll, centre purchasing
- Supervise and work alongside staff to meet BridgeWay’s vision of ‘Caring Every Day, Building Stronger Families”
- Gain experience working on agency projects to support the management team

*programs are offered in person, online and outdoors

**What you will bring**:

- An ECE diploma/degree, Family Support Certificate or Degree in a related field
- RECE in good standing with the College of ECE (as applicable)
- At least 3 years’ experience in the early years field
- Previous experience supervising staff
- Emergency First Aid/CPR B or C certification
- Up to date Vulnerable Sector Check
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- The ability to work some flexible hours
- Additional language(s) as an asset

**Location**:Turtle Creek EarlyON Centre, Mississauga, ON

**Hours**: Monday - Friday - 9:00 am - 4:30 - 35 hours per week
