Weinberg's Good Food is looking for strong independent people to work as a Barista/Cashiers in our Organic Grocery / Coffee Shop.

Our store does a lot of different things... specialty grocery and produce, we make great espresso, sell a variety of unique gifts...it's always changing and usually fun.

We have evolved over the last 12 years to be a dynamic fun location where our commitment to quality and creativity has become well known. We are committed to giving our customers both exceptional quailty and an unforgettable experience.

The ideal person for this position is friendly and chatty with interests in merchandising and food. Experience with Coffee making is an asset but not required, our goal is to align with people who share our values and commitment to great customer service and quality.

Applicants should be comfortable working independently and have good problem-solving skills. Physical fittness is essential as some heavy lifiting and being on your feet is part of this job.

Basic computer /spreadsheet skills are helpful and the abilty to post to social media is an is asset

Bus service is not reliable at this location so having your own transportation is required.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for providing our customers with exceptional service and quality coffee.

Duties will include
- Understanding the principles of coffee preparation and types of coffees.
- Set up and break down of the store including produce and retail merchandise.
- Receiving orders and restocking merchandise.
- Providing recommendations to customers based on their preferences and needs.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our customers
- Participating in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and
- A genuine appreciation for hospitality and the ability to give exceptional customer service.
- Operate a cash register / POS and manage cash using basic spreadsheets

Wages begin at $17 and are reviewed after 3 months

Tips typically bring the wage up $2 -3/ hr

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
