**Student - Records (Contract)**

The Halton Regional Police Service is currently seeking two (2) energetic, collaborative and innovative individuals to join our Records department as Summer Students from May to August.

**About the Role - How you will Contribute to the Service**:
You will be working with a team of well-respected team members within the Information and Records Services who support front line officers and members of the public in an administrative role. The Records Student will be reporting to the Manager of Information and Records Services and you will be required to support various Records functions. This role will be in place from May - August and appeal to a college or university student looking to develop themselves professionally through hands on exposure to a variety of records management experiences.

**What you will be Responsible For**:
The Records Student will be providing administrative support to key functions of the bureau, including data entry, Police Record Checks and customer service at the public counter. This will act as an added resource in many of our vast areas of data input and records management.

**What you will Bring to the Role**:
Note: The successful applicant will need to pass a background check to the satisfaction of the Service which will include reference checks with previous employers, verification of educational achievements, and a criminal background screen.

**Hourly Rate**:This is a paid student position ($19.43 per hour) for a five month term (April to August 2024) contract

**Working Hours**: 35 hours per week: Monday - Friday. This position is based out of our Oakville Headquarters facility which is located at the QEW and North Service Road West.
