Job Description: Meat Cutter
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications and company standards
- Operate meat processing equipment such as grinders, slicers, and saws
- Trim, bone, tie, and grind meats to ensure proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selection and answering any questions they may have
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a meat cutter or butcher preferred Minimum 5 Years.
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and their uses
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calgary, AB T2A 0V6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (required)
**Experience**:
- meat cutting: 5 years (required)
**Language**:
- English (required)
