The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP) aims to increase access to CBT for individuals struggling with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and related conditions. The Clinical Consultant will work within the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP) providing regular clinical consultation and training to community therapists at Service Delivery Sites (SDS) who are engaged in the provision of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and related conditions (including obsessive-compulsive concerns and post-traumatic stress). The Clinical Consultant will participate in the provincial Community of Practice for OSP Clinical Consultants. The Clinical Consultant will also deliver individual and group CBT and CPT to clients in the OSP program as well as conduct intake assessments to determine suitability for the OSP program.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- PHD in Clinical Psychology required
- Masters degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology required.
- Registration with College of Psychologists, College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists, College of Nurses or College of Occupational Therapists required
- Certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy by CACBT (or eligible for certification) required
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in delivery of evidence-based CBT with documentation showing that they received formal CBT training and appropriate supervision. Additional training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) preferred. Also requires experience providing clinical supervision and/or consultation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Science and practice of psychotherapy, specifically CBT and CPT
- Demonstrated knowledge of Ethical guidelines for the provision of effective clinical supervision/consultation
- Demonstrated knowledge of Diagnostic categories and criteria as listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the etiology and treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders, as well as OCD and PTSD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of emergency patient care procedures as taught in Emergency First Response, Crisis Intervention and fire procedures to promote coordinated and consistent practices in response to emergency events, i.e. Code Blue; Code White, Code Red.
- Provision of virtual and/or telephone CBT
- Demonstrated knowledge of program and hospital policies and procedures in order to practice within the expected standards of the organization and to recognize abnormal events that may affect client care, activities, or safety and need to be reported to a manager, in order to provide a safe environment for client and staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant sections of legislation, e.g., Mental Health Act, Personal Health Information Protection Act, Regulated Health Professions Act, Health Care Consent Act, and professional standards to ensure compliance and consistency in provision of client care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer software to generate correspondence and input data for a variety of facility-wide tools e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, electronic health records.
- Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with provincial training leaders, regional therapists, consultants, partners, program managers, and directors.
- Analytical thinking skills to understand and train others in the designated assessment and treatment protocols, while considering strengths and challenges.
- Interpersonal skills to maintain strong working relationships with all clinicians, managers, consultants, and partners.
- Time management and organizational skills in order to effectively address and prioritize multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good work performance and attendance record is essential

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide training and consultation to OSP therapists in the OSP triage assessment process to determine suitability for OSP and triaging to appropriate service intensity
- Provide regular and ongoing individual and group clinical consultation in CBT (which will include reviewing recordings of therapy sessions, rating therapy session recordings for fidelity to the CBT protocols, and reviewing patient outcome monitor
