**Position Title**: Intermediate UX Writer

**Reports To**: Director, Client and Advisor Experiences

**Term**: Temporary Full-Time - 18 Month Contract

**Work Arrangements**: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

As an Intermediate UX Writer, you will create thoughtful and impactful content that facilitates understanding and engagement within our products. You are a key member of the design team. You’re a storyteller who is at ease presenting and discussing your work with design partners and stakeholders.
You put the customer at the center of everything you do. Design thinking and Human-Centered Design methodologies are second nature to you. Reporting to our Director of Client and Advisor Experience, you will be working to rewrite client and advisor facing action-oriented communications and insurance contracts to be clear, simple and engaging.

**What you will be doing**:

- Collaborate with the CAX team and project partners to understand the business objectives that drive content strategy
- Manage the UX Writing projects that you are assigned
- Provide relevant and considerate content; write clear, accurate and compelling user interface content
- Align to all content governance systems, workflows, and standards including brand style, tone and voice guidelines
- Present UX Writing and Content Design concepts in collaboration with UX designers
- Coordinate copy translation, approval documentation and final delivery of content
- Collaborate at both strategic and operational levels with Product, Design, and UX Research teams
- Assist in evolving our content guide and strategy
- Develop the UX Writing practice, building innovative and effective guidelines, best practices, and tools
- Implement long-term strategies that allow content to scale
- Work collaboratively with our Data & Analytics and CAX Researcher to shape and validate your work
- Advocate for inclusivity and accessibility, crafting delightful content and experiences for various demographics, reimagining products so that they're effective for a range of audiences
- Collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, Product Marketing, Operations and UX Designers, and other stakeholders to bring a sense of delight and purpose to our in-product content
- Work with Legal and Compliance to ensure our communications are appropriately and responsibly launched
- Change context quickly and easily, working with various products and teams
- Nice to have: Experience with insurance and/or financial services

**What you will bring**:

- 3-5+ years of experience as a User Experience (UX) Writer
- Understanding of interactive design, usability principles and how content strategy contributes to user experience
- Understanding of Human-Centred Design and related design disciplines (i.e., Experience Strategy, Visual design, UX Writing, Design Research, Interaction Design, and Accessibility)
