**Role summary**:
As a Client Content Specialist, you are an advocate for clear communication and good writing. You are part of Sun Life’s Client Advocacy team, using your client experience (CX) expertise to create caring and empathetic communications for Clients across multiple channels.
- Your writing makes it easy for Clients to understand next steps, builds their confidence in us as a trusted brand, and displays a caring tone.
- Your work shows that you can understand complex situations.
- You use empathy, plain language principles, behavioural economics and user testing to inform your content choices.
- You write with a cohesive and unified voice across all types of communication.
- You collaborate with people in a variety of roles across the business.
- When creating content, you keep Sun Life's CX Vision (We start with care. We make action easy. We build confidence.) top of mind.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure content adheres to the Sun Life’s brand personality
- Coordinate content approvals from draft to final copy and signoffs from business partners
- Act as a plain language champion and resource for teams across the organization
- Coordinate translations with French linguistics team
- Support internal storytelling

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail
- 2 to 4 years of professional writing experience
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Strong curiosity about Clients and how to anticipate their needs by understanding behaviours
- Commitment to a hands-on, proactive approach to learning about Sun Life Clients and products
- Capacity to juggle multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity
- Ability to edit content live in meetings with multiple opinions coming your way

**What’s nice to have?**
- Post-secondary degree in communications, journalism, digital communications, English or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- A background in writing for health care, insurance or investments
- An understanding of behavioural economics principles
- Knowledge of Wrike, Sharepoint and Visio is an asset
- Knowledge of Canadian Press style
