Accounts Receivable Clerk

**Job Tasks**
- Perform daily POS (Point of Sale) reconciliations with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks)
- Monitor cash flow
- Track invoices and payments; organize invoices and receipts for credit card and other Vendor statements; Create and update expense reports; Identify and report to Accountant on any discrepancies / variances
- Produce financial reports to assist accountant in decisions
- Assist with the **r**econciliation and submission of various monthly, quarterly, and annual government remittances; assist with sales reporting and reconciliation.
- Process reimbursement forms
- Maintain and enter financial transactions into databases and assist with maintaining an up-to-date, complete, and systematic filing system; Ensure confidentiality.
- Reconcile and distribute daily tips and gratuities as per the policy
- Assist with budgets and financial forecasts; Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies and resolve in timely manner
- Assist in inventory tracking and reconciliation
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Follow all financial standards, protocols and policies and update Accountant on any observed financial discrepancies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Health and Safety: Work safely in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations.
**Qualifications**
**Education & Certificates**
- Degree/Diploma Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field
**Experience**
- Bookkeeping experience
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
**Skills & Knowledge**
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial record
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
