**Tax Specialist**

**This is a full-time position that generally involves**:

- Developing and implementing tax efficient strategies for:

- Incorporation of a business
- Re-organization of a business (including integration with trusts)
- Purchase / Sale Transactions
- Estate planning
- Shareholder remuneration planning
- Reviewing work for completeness and accuracy (personal, corporate, trust, partnership)
- Servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients
- Reviewing and supporting the preparation of various tax election forms
- Supporting other team members with various income tax queries
- Developing billing proposals, managing ongoing work-in-progress, and generating client billings
- Co-ordinating advice with advisors from other jurisdictions

**Requirements**:

- A CPA, CA or CPA with three or more years specializing in tax in a public accounting firm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Completed, or working towards completing CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax program
- Emphasis on quality of work
- Problem Solver
- Openness to learning new skills and utilization of new tools
- Values teamwork
- GST / HST knowledge / experience
- Experience using various tax research platforms such as Knotia, CTF Taxfind, TaxnetPro, VideoTax News, CCH AnswerConnect and Blue J Tax
- Taxprep / Profile experience
