Currently, the Ministry Correspondence and Tracking Unit provides the opportunity to work a modified work week which means you work 35 hours in four (4) days instead of five (5) giving you a day off every week.

The purpose of this position is to investigate background materials and coordinate the development of written responses to Ministerial correspondence for the signature of the Minister, Deputy Minister or other senior executives of the Ministry.

This position is based in the Ministry Correspondence and Tracking Unit within the Deputy Minister's office but will provide services to all divisions within the Ministry. Assignments will include (but not limited to):

- Determining who should draft response if issues are too technical, sensitive or contentious in nature.
- Examining and editing, if necessary, responses prepared by other Ministry staff.
- Ensuring that Ministry responses address issues identified in incoming correspondence and are clear, concise and that messaging is consistent.
- Maintaining statistics on correspondence.

**Job Requirements**:
Please Note: Proof of completed education (official transcripts or a picture of the completed diploma/certificate/degree bearing institution’s name) will be required if screened in for assessment and needs to be provided within 48 hours of asking (this will be asked of you after February 23, 2023).
- Secondary graduation or equivalent (GED).
- Preference may be given to applicants with a certificate or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Admin or English.
- A minimum of 6 months experience proofreading and copy-editing all of the below bullet points.
- Preference may be given to applicants with 1 year or more experience:

- internal communications
- business documents
- corporate correspondence for senior-level or Executive staff

**About this Position**:
This is a temporary opportunity until 12/29/2023. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
This position can be performed from multiple communities and the location of the position is negotiable.
