- N/A**Intended job posting audience**The Membership Coordinator will work alongside Gwaandak Theatre Society’s Administrative and Operational Manager to grow and manage Gwaandak’s member base. This position is part-time at 15 hours/week for a total of 30 weeks (September 4 2023 - March 31 2024).

The Membership Coordinator will begin by developing a more robust profile for Gwaandak’s membership classes (management and regular) to better understand who has been a member of the society in the past, and who might be interested in joining. They will then set achievable goals for increasing membership throughout the 2023-2024 Season, and develop and implement an outreach strategy to achieve these goals. They will work closely with the Marketing Manager during implementation.

The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for regular member communications with a goal of maintaining contact with all members, surveying them about how they would like to be involved, reaching out with opportunities to engage with the company’s programming, making them aware of member benefits etc. The Membership Coordinator will plan and execute 4 members-only events to be held during the 2023-2024 Season with support from the Artistic Director and other staff.

There will also be other administrative tasks assigned throughout the term of the contract including social media, fund development, or programming implementation within the scope of the hours of the contract, and the skills of the selected applicant.

- Has strong written communication skills
- Has event planning experience (at any level)
- Has strong organizational skills and is detail-oriented
- Is interested in outreach, community engagement and community building
- Enjoys collaborative and creative problem solving
- Likes to work in a team and is comfortable taking initiative and managing their own tasks and time

Please Note: This position is partially funded by the CHRC’s Student Work Placement Program and, as such, only those who will be attending a post-secondary institution between September 2023 and March 2024 are eligible to apply.
