**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Manager, Venue Technology & Broadcast Systems, the Audio Operations Specialist will have the unique opportunity to help develop and support MLSE’s live events and digital audio environment across all MLSE venues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to a larger team of AV, Broadcast and Audio Engineers to craft, expand and maintain a digital audio infrastructure
- Support legacy analog devices/signal paths that remain part of the venue's systems
- Ability to step into an audio operator's chair in an emergency situation
- Work closely with the Lead Audio Engineer to pro-actively monitor and maintain the audio network to avoid system/device failures during live events
- Pro-Actively suggest system improvements and contribute to the yearly project and budgetary cycles
- Actively program new components of the digital audio system and onboard new devices as required
- Assist in the expansion of the Digital Audio Network into non-critical back-of-house AV systems
- Work closely with Live Audio Engineers to understand their needs in a live environment and deliver solutions to tackle complex challenges
- Work closely with the larger Engineering Team to interface digital audio solutions with a broadcast-style video control room
- Contribute to a larger plan to build a holistic all-IP-workflow

**Qualifications**:
- Proven audio-related work experience and a demonstrated understanding of IT principles as related to Digital Audio Networking
- Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of audio fundamentals such as channel mixing, sound level measurement, line and mic level differences
- Strong understanding and emerging curiosity about working with IT networking as it relates to digital audio including IP, UDP, RTP, Security and Switches
- Working toward or have acquired, Q-SYS Level 2 training, Dante Level 2 training, CompTIA A+ or Network+ Certification is an asset
- Knowledge in digital solutions such as Ravenna, MADI, Direct Out Prodigy, SMPTE2110, AES67
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills and grace under pressure when something goes wrong during a live event
- Ability to seek input from a collaborative team, take direction when required and run with the solution independently when it’s the right thing to do
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays for event-based work as scheduled
