**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY**:
**The Teaching and Learning Librarian, Graduate Studies will collaborate with Teaching and Learning Division staff and other Library and campus partners to advance the teaching and learning mission of the Library. They will design, deliver and assess instruction that supports information literacy and research skills development, in partnership with instructors**, Library colleagues **or other staff. They will offer individual or group research support through consultations. They will build productive relationships with faculty and campus units and promote the use of the Library’s services and resources. While the Teaching and Learning Librarian, Graduate Studies will be focused on meeting the needs o**f graduate programs**, they may be asked to support undergraduate programs associated with the Faculties when needed.**:
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop, teach and assess sessions focused on information literacy and research skills development. Sessions may be taught online, in-person, or in a hybrid format and learning may be synchronous and/or asynchronous.
- Develop and assess dynamic, engaging learning objects to support these sessions, e.g. LibGuides, videos, interactive tutorials.
- Use learner-centred pedagogy in their teaching and development of learning objects. Ensure their teaching and learning object development aligns with UDL principles and DEIA best practices.
- Partner with instructors and colleagues within the Teaching and Learning Division, the Sherman Centre for Digital Scholarship, the Archives and Research Collections Division and other Library units to embed and scaffold information literacy and research skill development across programs offered through the School of Graduate Studies (SGS).
- Offer in-depth research consultations to graduate students and research teams in Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering and Science and broker referrals and collaborations across the Library when needed.
- Develop and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) and graduate program instructors, staff and students and other campus partners.
- Identify, assess and prioritize the teaching and learning needs of graduate program instructors, staff and students and build and refine services to support these, in collaboration with various Library units.
- Promote Library resources and services to the SGS community through a variety of channels and ensure key developments and opportunities within graduate programs are shared with the Teaching and Learning Division and the Library.
- Contribute to the planning and assessment work of the Teaching and Learning Division.
- Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Division and other Library colleagues to support key Library priorities.
- Complete special projects as assigned.

This is a full time, contractually limited appointment reporting to the Associate University Librarian, Teaching and Learning. Normally scheduled weekly hours will be Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (35 hours/week).

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited school of library and information science or its equivalent.
