**I.** **JOB SUMMARY**

Provides operational and safety administrative support. Conducts process and system audits and assists with employee training for regulatory compliance. Validates and ensures company compliance with all Federal and Provincial agencies.

**II.** **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

2. Provide Electronic Logging Device driver training. Conduct daily log audits to ensure HOS compliance.

3. Coordinate effective emergency response and notification protocol for serious accidents, injuries, and reporting of Hazardous Material releases.

4. Assist with the review and investigation of vehicle accidents and injuries as required.

5. Assist with labor and operations in the administration of discipline.

6. Support training and development safety compliance for field operations employees.

7. Coordinate the random drug and alcohol testing program. Assist Human Resources in the testing and onboarding requirements for new hires.

8. Support area safety improvement plans by providing necessary tools, resources, and auditing assistance.

9. Support terminal compliance with all Federal, Provincial and Local laws governing the operation of equipment used in transportation. Participate in annual DOT compliance audits as required.

10. Establish trust and credibility by maintaining a high level of integrity and communications with safety and terminal operations teams.

11. Other duties as assigned in support of the Linehaul Operations.

**IV.** **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

1. Associates degree or equivalency of three (3) years working in an LTL operations environment.

2. Effective multi-tasking and prioritizing skills, and ability to positively influence others.

3. Strong communication skills to receive and convey information effectively: oral and written comprehension and expression.

4. Demonstrated knowledge of freight regulations including FMCSR, HMR, and OSHR Workplace Safety Standards (preferred) or willing to learn same.

5. Demonstrated knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

**V.** **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

1. Current and valid CDL Driver with all applicable endorsements.

2. Prior experience in safety or training.

**VI.** **WORKING CONDITIONS**

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

**VII.** **PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
