**Reporting to**:Store Manager

**Summary of Duties**:
Kitchen staff will closely work with the Store Manager while maintaining a positive, supportive, and professional relationship with Tsipun Supermarket customers and staff. The Kitchen staff will assist in food preparation to ensure the smooth functioning of the kitchen operation.

**Key Deliverables and Expectations**:

- Assist with food preparation, clean the kitchen, wash dishes and prepare simple meals.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware and utensils.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation workstations.
- Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients.
- Follow all food health and safety requirements.
- Assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage.
- Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors.
- Interact with customers as needed
- Perform other related duties as requested.

**Experience and Attributes**:

- Current Food Safe Certification.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a restaurant preferred.
- Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift 50+ pounds.
- Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Adaptable, hard-working and willing to take direction.
- Comfortable with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Willingness to work weekends and nights.
