**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Our client offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Overhead Crane Services Technician to ensure the safety and maintenance of their clients’ overhead crane systems and maintain reassurance and trust in their equipment. The Overhead Crane Services Technician will have a knack for heights, a passion for precision, and will embody safety and collaboration in every aspect of their work. With the responsibility of performing electrical and mechanical inspections on a variety of crane systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, executing routine inspections, and performing preventative maintenance, their dedication ensures optimal crane performance and longevity.

As the Overhead Crane Services Technician, your commitment to customer service fosters positive and proactive actionable support to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. Safety compliance is paramount in your role, as you meticulously adhere to protocols, conduct inspections, and implement solutions to enhance crane operations and the work environment for their clients’. You will need to be flexible to accommodate breakdown calls and be willing to engage in fieldwork across diverse environments, while addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

As the Overhead Crane Service Technician you will work safely and collaboratively and are responsible for:
**Mechanical Expertise**:

- Perform electrical and mechanical inspections on most makes of cranes/hoists to ensure optimal performance and longevity according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently to determine faults, including malfunctions, stress ranges, and structural issues and minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal crane performance and longevity.
- Repair or replace necessary parts or components to ensure top quality restoration.

**Electrical Proficiency**:

- Troubleshoot electrical components and systems including motors, controls, and wiring.
- Repair and replace electrical components as needed, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Conduct testing and calibration of electrical systems, circuits, motors, and components to maintain operational efficiency and safety to CSA safety standards.
- Execute necessary wiring of electrical circuits and devices.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on overhead crane systems.
- Conduct safety inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Provide recommendations and implement solutions to enhance the safety of crane operations and work environment.
- Perform all required adjustments to comply with industry and safety standards.
- Conduct load certification tests.
- Conduct work in a manner prescribed by our client’s Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual, and site EHS policies.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all crane servicing and repairs meet industry standards and regulations.

**Customer Service**:

- Maintain excellent business relationships with clients and address inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Provide timely and courteous service to maintain positive client relationships and satisfaction.
- Offer guidance and training to clients on proper crane usage, safety protocols, and maintenance practices.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
