**Job Description - Network Analyst**

Evanya Consulting is hiring a Network Analyst for our client Sask Energy.

This resource will have a minimum of **five (5) years** recent and practical network administration/analyst and design/architecture experience. This resource will be primarily focused on day-to-day operational network administration work, as well as contribute to the design, architecture, planning and implementation of improvements to the SaskEnergy network.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administration, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and documentation of the enterprise network environment
- Prepare plans for development and installation of network devices according to present and future requirements and standards
- Provides expert technical support, administration, and engineering on Cisco network devices
- Monitoring, performance tunes, troubleshooting and resolution of system problems to ensure system availability
- Manage and maintain network disaster recovery including planning, implementation, maintenance and testing
- Interacts with our user base (corporate and field employees) on an as needed basis regarding technology issues and escalations
- Patching network equipment using company standard processes
- Maintains systems integrity through change control and problem management procedures and communication with internal customers
- Accomplishes department objectives by working with other team members; organizing and monitoring work process
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilities
- Attends and participates in team meetings
- Work with various teams to establish scalable network solutions
- Act as a representative of Digital Technology & Security

**Mandatory Requirement**:

- Resource must have at least five (5) years of recent, practical network administration experience and design/architecture experience.
- Resource must have a have valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License or equivalent.
- Resource must be able to work and be located full-time on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, SK; Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
- Resource must be able to travel outside Regina, SK, including occasional overnight stays as required.
- Resource must be able to work on-call on a rotational basis in 1-week intervals.

**Requirement**:

- Proven proficiency with Layer 3 Spine and Leaf data center networks using VXLAN with BGP EVPN
- Proven proficiency working with BGP and OSPF
- Proven proficiency in working with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN Controllers and WAPs
- Proven proficiency working with Cisco CLI for IOS, ASA, IOS-XE and NX-0S
- Proven proficiency working with Cisco Remote Access and L2L VPN Technologies
- Proven proficiency working with Cisco Prime Infrastructure Version 3 or higher
- Proven proficiency working with configuring and administering load balancers
- Proven proficiency working with Microsoft Azure - IaaS
- Proven proficiency with network security best practices
- Experience implementing network technologies to support organizational technology projects
- Experience in next-generation firewalls
- Proven proficiency in collaborating with multi-disciplinary project teams
- Understanding of enterprise level network
- Understanding of integrations of an on premise environment and cloud environments
- North American job experience

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
