Mechanical Supervisor

Our Scarborough location is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Direct and coordinate preventative maintenance and planning activities with skilled trades, 3rd party contractors and Operations Management
- Scheduling and organizing maintenance activities according to production schedules and equipment availability
- Have a meeting each morning & discuss safety and discuss the tasks set for today
- Enter purchase orders for parts & Contractor labor (Contractor Labor to be entered the week prior of bringing the on site )
- Complete a daily mechanical maintenance report and send out daily
- Read through reports & schedule repairs
- Responsible for supervising and directing a team of unionized skilled trades to optimize equipment reliability.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with OHSA standards
**What you'll bring to the table**:
- Mechanical Millwright certificate (433A) is considered an asset or Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc. Degree / Diploma or CET) or technical training; valid trades certification and/or equivalent work experience
- Maintenance Supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite.
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems considered an asset.
