Overview:
As a **Financial Operations Analyst** at Quarterhill, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial processes and enhancing our operational efficiency. You will prepare and analyze financial data, identify areas for improvement, and work closely with various departments to implement solutions. The Financial Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in providing insights through detailed financial reporting and analysis, supporting strategic decision-making.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Support monthly preparation of the financial reporting package, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and analyze centralized Utilization, Travel and Expense and Cash Flow reports.
- Develop and update project dashboards and monthly project review slides.
- Prepare other necessary reports and ad-hoc analysis as necessary.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation of budget and forecast templates.
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecast updates.
- Provide variance analysis and explanations for deviations between actuals, forecast, and budget.
- Internal Controls:

- Ensure timely submission and approval of timesheets.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding submission and approvals of bills, expenses, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in complex financial analysis or a similar role.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with ERP systems.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
