Winnipeg, Canada Sabourin Lake Lodge Ltd. Full time

Sabourin Lake Lodge is a family-owned fishing camp sitting on 21 acres, located 50 miles beyond the reach of any road on majestic Sabourin Lake, Ontario in Woodland Caribou Wilderness Park, 1 hour north of Kenora. The Lodge is accessible only by float plane and is open seasonally May 15 through September 15.

We are seeking a reliable and adventurous Dockhand to join our team. Our Dockhand is responsible for offering professional, friendly and engaging customer service. Must be a hard-working individual willing to do physical labor. The successful applicant will be required to do a variety of tasks assigned by tradesmen and lodge management.

**Duties + Responsibilities**
- Accepting, securing, and releasing aircraft
- Always be on the docks to greet guests when departing and arriving each day
- Loading/unloading aircraft
- Baggage & cargo handling to and from guest cabins
- Good communication skills, strong work ethic, great with customers
- Delivering ice, coffee and refreshment daily to guest cabins
- Replenishing firewood and fire starter in guest cabins
- Other responsibilities include landscaping, waste removal, and recycling for the Lodge
- Follow company safety practices and standards

**Requirements + Qualifications**
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ensuring excellence in guest satisfaction
- Is a self-starter, who proactively keeps oneself busy on required tasks.
- Is able to work with mínimal supervision or direction.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Previous fishing experience is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Location/Transportation**
- The lodge is located 50 miles beyond the reach of any road on majestic Sabourin Lake, Ontario in Woodland Caribou Wilderness Park, 1 hour north of Kenora. The Lodge is accessible only by float plane
- Staff will be provided float plane transportation to the lodge at the beginning of the season and back when the season is over. It is each person's responsibility to find their own transportation to the floatplane base.
- In case of emergencies, staff will be provided transportation from the lodge to a safe location
- All staff are required to stay on site during the season May to early-September

**Compensation + Perks**
- All positions are full time
- Starting wage $165 per day
