The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Parks Custodial Department at West Edmonton Mall Parks & Attractions. This role focuses on overseeing custodial staff, including Head Custodians and Custodians, ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards, and supporting operational needs within the department. This position will also involve a hands-on role in ice maintenance and staff management at the Ice Palace.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Supervising, coordinating, and directing the activities of custodial staff, including Head Custodians and Custodians, ensuring daily cleaning duties are performed to departmental standards across all Parks & Attractions.
- Overseeing on-the-floor routines, specific tasks, and completion of cleaning activities to consistently meet cleanliness standards.
- Acting as a leader and mentor to custodial staff, providing training and development to ensure effective performance and adherence to departmental expectations.
- Monitoring facility quality control and staff productivity, ensuring the safe and effective use of cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Ensuring inventory of cleaning products and supplies is well-stocked and utilized cost-effectively.
- Enforcing adherence to West Edmonton Mall Occupational Health and Safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conducting employee performance evaluations and managing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Assisting in monitoring and addressing maintenance deficiencies in Parks & Attractions.
- Taking a hands-on role in ice maintenance and staff management at the Ice Palace.
- Undertaking cleaning duties as required and assigned.
- Carrying a company cell phone to respond to inquiries and communicate with staff during shifts.

Desired Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in custodial or cleaning management, ideally in large-scale facilities.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Terms of Employment:

- This is a full-time or part-time hourly position that requires flexible availability, including days, evenings and weekends.
