**Job Summary**

This position involves providing one-on-one remediation tutoring sessions to children who learn differently, including those identified with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. Teachers provide targeted remediation to support individualized goals for each child. Teachers take detailed notes in their sessions to track progress and discuss student sessions regularly with the centre director to ensure each child is receiving optimal support.

There are opportunities for hours for the upcoming school year until June, 2023.

Sessions may be in-person in our offices (Bloor West Village) or online via Zoom. _**Availability for in-person sessions at our office is preferable.**_

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**

**Position Requirements**:

- Ontario Certified Teacher (Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate) is _**required**_
- Knowledge of reading science is an asset
- Experience teaching remedial programs (Direct Instruction, Orton-Gillingham, Phono-Graphix, Lindamood-Bell, JUMP Math, Handwriting Without Tears, phonics and phonemic awareness, etc) is an asset
- Flexibility, intuitiveness, warmth, and a sense of humour are _**required**_

Bright Light Learners is a small company that offers individualized support to children and adolescents who learn differently. Many of our students have been identified with Learning Disabilities or ADHD. We provide research-validated programming in individual tutorial sessions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All teachers and students are masked for in-person sessions. Workspaces are disinfected in between each student. Sessions will pivot to online as needed.
