We are seeking enthusiastic dishwashers and kitchen stewards to join our team As a key position in our organization, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service both internally and externally. This role is demanding but also highly rewarding, offering opportunities for growth and development within our company.
**Specific Skills and Abilities**:
- Strong communication skills in English
- Team player with a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Professional and pleasant interaction with customers, staff, and managers
- Empathy for diverse backgrounds
- Stamina to stay on feet and move quickly for extended periods
- Physical ability to bend and lift continuously
- Consistent performance of repetitive tasks
- Willingness to cross-train in various kitchen roles
**Dishwasher Specific Skills**:
- Proficient in operating commercial dishwashing machines and hand-washing
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in organizing and stacking dishes, utensils, and kitchenware efficiently
- Knowledge of proper handling and storage of kitchen chemicals and cleaning agents
- Capability to assist with basic kitchen prep tasks as needed
- Ability to manage waste and recycling procedures effectively
- Experience in performing regular maintenance and cleaning of dishwashing equipment
**Pre-Requisites**:
- Availability for late hours on weekdays and weekends
- Proficiency as a Kitchen Steward
**Experience**:
- Preferred: Experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Experience as a cooperative team member
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 2024-06-03
