Payroll Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join our client in Calgary on a full-time, basis. This position will require assistance with semi-monthly payroll, reporting, account reconciliation, T4 processing, audits, and remittances. It offers extensive benefits and incentives. **Responsibilities**
- In-house payroll including payroll entry, reporting, and inquiries
- Prepare and process semi-monthly payrolls, including accurate payment of wages, deductions, benefits and related activities
- Manage and adjust vacation day entitlements as required
- Perform off-cycle payroll payments and processing
- Develop reports in Workday as required and as requested by HR, management
- Ensure compliance with government legislation and General Accounting Principles (GAP)
- Manage taxable benefit calculations, and perform account reconciliations
- Process and calculate short-term disability and WCB payments
- Prepare year-end reports and T4s
- Work with a dedicated team to improve payroll processes where needed
**Requirements**:
- 3-5 years’ experience in payroll
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience with Ceridian would be an asset
- PCP or CPM Designations would be an asset
- Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment, providing a high level of customer service to coworkers and customers alike
