**TERM**:8 **Weeks Between June 8th 2023 & August 2nd, 2023

**DESCRIPTION**: The Volunteer Coordinator assists the Operations Director and Program Director to carry out CFUR’s Volunteer Program through Skills Training Workshops and Orientations using our Better Impact volunteer software, and traditional methods. The goal of this program is to both develop skills of volunteers to more effectively participate in broadcasting and assisting in various station operations, but also to foster a respectful and inclusive environment (on-air and in-person). Opportunities for language digitization projects exist as well.

**WAGE**:Thirty (30) hours per week for an hourly rate of $16.75 per hour

**JOB DESCRIPTION**(but not limited to):

- Conduct orientations to familiarize new members of all ages with our safe space
- Become fluent in our skills training workshops
- Lead training workshops in order to share skills with others
- Mitigate hiccups with improvisation. Provide necessary encouragement and coaching to volunteers.
- Comfortable being the First Point of Contact at CFUR’s Office
- Assist in appending policy & procedural documentation to be used for training society members by taking notes on what can be improved, updating documents, then implementing those improvements

**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**(not _all _required but would be considered an asset):

- Must be a **Canadian** citizen, **Permanent **Resident, or of **Refugee **Status between **15-30 years** of age (Canada Summer Jobs Program Requirement)
- Strong organizational skills. Track progress, contributions, and contact info of volunteers.
- Must have a flexible schedule to work with volunteer’s availability
- Criminal Record Check as minors will be present
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Rudimentary Teaching or Sharing of Skills
- Experience working with youth
- Prior CFUR Volunteering Experience and/or Mentorship preferred
