We seek Policy Analysts to join the Transit Oriented Communities (TOC) Policy and Delivery Branch to support the delivery of the Subways and GO Transit and Light Rail Transit (LRT) TOC programs. As a Policy Analyst, you will play a key role in the development of policies, execution of project deliverables and implementation of activities related to the development of TOCs and associated initiatives. Working in collaboration with Infrastructure Ontario, Metrolinx, partner ministries and key stakeholders, you will contribute to the delivery of the government's vision for transit-oriented communities.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this Policy Analyst role, you will:

- Identify emerging issues and trends in the area of TOC policy and programs
- Review project proposals and develop recommendations
- Assist in the development of policy documents, briefing notes and presentations for senior management
- Develop and maintain contacts with key internal and external stakeholders
- Provide support on project teams involved in policy review and plan development

**How do I qualify?**:
**Policy Development**:

- You have knowledge of program and policy development principles and government decision making processes
- You can evaluate a policy or program effectiveness and provide recommendations

**Technical Expertise**:

- You have knowledge of key infrastructure sectors to coordinate policy and program development
- You have knowledge of capital planning processes and decision-making frameworks, to support negotiation of inter-governmental and commercial agreements

**Communication and Consultation Skills**:

- You have written communication skills to draft reports, briefing notes, and correspondences for senior staff
- You have oral communication skills lead presentations and consultations with stakeholders and senior staff

**Research, Analytical and Project Management Skills**:

- You have experience conducting research and analytical methods and techniques including quantitative and qualitative research
- You can identify emerging issues and trends
