**Job Posting**

The Aquatic Coordinator can be assigned to either Cole Harbour Outdoor Pool, Bedford Outdoor Pool, Needham Pool, Halifax Beaches, leadership, or administration. Assignment will be based on qualifications, experience, and competition scoring (Halifax Beaches assignments will also include physical screening).

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Aquatic Coordinator will lead the program’s instructional efforts and help in raising awareness of water safety issues. The Aquatic Coordinator will also lead the program’s training and ensure that the staff safety supervision skills remain high and effective. The success of our program will ultimately be judged on the action, safety, and quality of its staff and service. In addition, this position is part of the program management team, and the person in this position will be expected to contribute to the overall leadership, supervision, and administration of the program staff and program participants.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education and Experience**
- Previous Waterfront experience is required (only for the Halifax Beach position)
- Hold a current National Lifeguard Services Award, Intermediate Workplace First Aid and CPR, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to drive the HRM vehicles throughout the summer season.
- Hold or in the progress of completing Lifesaving instructor or First Aid instructor.
- Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Instructor is an asset.

**WORK STATUS**:Seasonal - June 1, 2025, to September 4, 2025

**SALARY**: Non-union; $20.20 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)

**WORK LOCATION**:Various Locations throughout HRM.
